Living with God’s permission

So often we attack life’s decisions without Gods approval.  We react instead of praying; we’re driven by emotion and lead astray.  Proverbs 4:5 tells us to get wisdom and understanding, this goes for anything we do.  We should all be found guilty of seeking God first in all we do, striving to be in His image and follow His guidance.

Topic of the day: Living with God’s permission

Subtopic:  Be anxious for nothing

Scripture:  Philippians 4:6-7

6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I know through these tough economical times it is easy to worry and fret.  As humans we all face these same fears, when we are drawn away by our circumstances,  to worry and fear because we are no longer in control.  However, if we step back and think about it, even when we thought we were in control we weren’t in control of anything.  As Christians we know that it is in Him that we live, move and have our being.  Nothing that we think, say, or do is though, spoken, or done without Him.  Therefore, we must be found guilty of submitting our lives to Him and understand that  He has complete control and authority over us.

From now on when you are faced with making any decisions, consult God first and it is His promise to direct your path (Proverbs 3:6.)  In order for us to receive guidance from God, we must acknowledge Him in all we do, turning away from our own understand and leaning completely on Him.  I challenge each of you to try God at His word and see if you will not be spiritually and emotionally blessed.

God Bless
